Instructions for Completing the Task Survey
for Judiciary Interpreters

The following information will assist you in responding to the Task Survey for Judiciary Interpreters. Please review this information before you begin the survey.
  • In Part I, you are provided with definitions and terms that are used throughout the survey. Please review the Definition of Terms before responding to the survey questions.
  • In Part II, you are asked to evaluate the Performance Domains of a minimally qualified judiciary interpreter. Evaluate each domain or task for importance, criticality, and frequency. These terms are defined in the next section of the survey.
  • In Part III, you are asked to evaluate the Task Statements in each Performance Domain for importance, criticality, and frequency. At the end of each Performance Domain you will have the opportunity to identify any tasks that you feel may have been overlooked for that particular Performance Domain.
